Cerebral palsy is a general term that is a used to diseribe a group of motor disorders in early childhood, it is not progressive and caused by a permanent damage in the growing brain. Cerebral palsy includes some risk factors which are usually controllable. This study has been designed based on the goal of finding the effective factors in the appearance of cerebral palsy. This research has been done with a questionnaire our sample were 57 students who were suffering from CP who were from special education center of mazandaran. After a precise physical examination and studying their medical records a questionnaire was given to their families and their rehabilitation therapists containing questions about pregnancy complications, labour and after that (labor). There were 30 boys (%52/6) and 25(%43/9) girls of those 57 students, in this survey. The majority was in spastic type (%50/9). Many effective factors were found in the appearance of cerebral palsy in this research, in which the majority were alluded to prematurity (%59/6) and low birth weight (%49/1) asphyxia (%29/8) and citers (%29/8). This survey indicates that some factors have been found to prevent the appearance of CP in children. This survey indicates the existence of some preventing factors in the occurrence of CP in children.
