Background: This study was aimed to examine the effectiveness of linguistic plays program on working memory of students with dyslexia.
Method: Study procedure was experimental with pretest-posttest design with control group. The sample of the study included 30 Male Students with Dyslexia (15 for experimental group and 15 for control group), were selected by purposeful sampling method, among first to five grade elementary students in Rodaki Learning Disorders Center and randomly assigned in experimental and control groups. Cornoldy test of working memory was used to collect data. Experimental group sequentially received 15 sessions of linguistic plays program in 8 week. The data were analyzed by using of analysis of covariance (ANCOVA).
Results: The results indicated that the scores of experimental group in working memory were improved after intervention (P<.05).
Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that linguistic plays program improving the working memory of students with dyslexia.
