Abstract
Background and purpose: The duties of the members of the rehabilitation team for people with hearing
loss are very important. In this regard, it is necessary for children and adolescents with hearing impairment,
their parents and teachers to have access to sufficient information in this field. In addition, it is better for
them to familiarize themselves with behavioral and objective hearing tests. This research was conducted
with the aim of investigating the role of rehabilitation team members of people with hearing impairment and
behavioral and objective hearing tests.
Method: The present research method was descriptive and review type. To collect information, 26 articles
or books available in reliable scientific databases were used between 2011 and 2023.
Conclusion: Children and adolescents with hearing impairment and their parents need specialized
information in the field of rehabilitation and the duties of the members of this team. Habilitation and rehabilitation
emphasize learning different skills. Of course, rehabilitation emphasizes learning new skills, but rehabilitation
focuses on relearning lost skills. In general, rehabilitation team members include physicians and medical
providers, early intervention specialist, oral rehabilitation specialist, speech and language pathologist,
sign language specialist, special teacher, psychologist, consultant and social networks. It is necessary for
the members of this team to work together to meet the needs of children with hearing impairment and their
families. In addition, hearing tests are divided into two categories, objective and behavioral, each of which
has different types. Therefore, awareness of the role of the rehabilitation team members of people with hearing
impairment and behavioral and objective hearing tests is very important.
